Although I post this late, I thought you might still be interested to know what Lady Lori was up to on New Year’s day…

I have just received some pictures from my new year’s day hot air ballooning in the Mara – another super-fly day where I take you in the helicopter to the balloon and pick you up after the balloon safari and champagne breakfast in the heli and fly you back to your deluxe camp. This way you have seen most of the Mara in one morning.

Pics include pre-flighting one of the worlds largest commercial hot air balloons, a Cameron 425 (ie 425,000 cubic feet volume and capacity of 16 passengers over the savannah). It’s built in Bristol, England.

In the trapeze cam shot whilst flying at approx 100 feet above the ground, spot the Ostrich with the herd of Cape Buffalo, one of Africa’s most dangerous animals.
