I came across this beautiful dramatic close up of an elephant on the paradise plain in Kenya’s Masaai Mara game reserve by award-winnning photographer David Lloyd, in UK newspaper The Independent.

It is one of a series of black and white stills taken over a period of four years during his trips across Kenya and Botswana.

I was very much taken by the work of Lloyd, who is originally from New Zealand but now living in London, and couldn’t resist a look at the rest of his work. I have to say it’s all ever so impressing as you can see.
