I just got back from the Chateaux d’Oex Balloon festival in the Swiss Alps and thought I’d share some of the pictures I took.

The International Hot-Air Balloon Festival, which took place from 22nd to 28th January, is an invitational meet for “world famous aeronauts”.

More than 100 balloons from 20 different counties went up in the air and large crowds came to see the many air shows and the famous “son et lumière” night show.

It was a fantastic day, with fondue, chocolate and flying.
