Even though I’m posting this a few days late, I thought that you might like to see this evocative photograph taken by Lady Lori’s Chief Pilot, Shawn Evans, on New Year’s Day.

Two Lady Lori helicopters, flown by Shawn and myself, were in Tanzania on New Year’s Day for a few days. We stopped for a while to visit a Masai family in their manyatta (homestead) at the Ngorongoro Crater. Shawn took the pic whilst having a chat with this older tribesman in his hut, through which a striking ray of early morning sunlight was beaming through his small window.
