Black rhino calf and its mother at Port Lympne Wild Animal Park

This shot of rhino calf Nyota with mother Vuyu, a critically endangered black rhino, was taken by Vincent Catt at Port Lympne Wild Animal Park in Kent, UK.

Both Port Lympne Wild Animal Park and sister park Howletts Wild Animal Park were set up by late John Aspinall, who bought both parks not only to house the growing collection of animals but to protect and breed rare and endangered species and, where possible, return them to safe areas in the wild, including worlds largest breeding group of Lowland Gorilla’s.
