‘An African Love Story: Love Life and Elephants’ by Daphne Sheldrick

Dame Daphne Sheldrick, who has rescued and looked after orphaned elephants in Kenya for more than half a century now, has just launched her autobiography entitled “An African Love Story: Love, Life and Elephants”

The book of heart-warming memoirs shares stories of incredible relationships with a host of orphaned wildlife, including Bushy, a liquid-eyed antelope and Eleanor, the majestic elephant with whom Daphne has shared much of her life.

Daphne also tells of her late husband David Sheldrick, the famous Tsavo Park warden, who shared her passion for wildlife.

Daphne Sheldrick is the founder of the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust
