Aerial shot of the Gura Falls

What you see here is a shot of the Aberdare region, specifically the Gura Falls, taken from under the tail boom of one of our helicopters, with what is clearly an almost fisheye lens.

The first image is as the camera sees it, the second is as we intend to see it and the third is what would make sense to most people.

The Aberdares are Kenya’s third highest mountain range which stretches thousands of kilometers and is famous for its massive greenery, crystal clear streams and scenic waterfalls.

The Gura Falls is the most precipitous waterfall amongst the main waterfalls in the area, including Karura and the Chania Falls, and cascades some 300 m downstream into an impenetrable ravine.
