I would highly recommend watching this new three-part natural history series which tells the story of human evolution, currently being broadcasted in the UK on BBC 2.  A DVD of the series will be released on 7 November.

The series is being presented by Dr Alice Roberts, who other than broadcaster is anatomist, physical antropologist and science author.

In BBC’s own words this program is ‘a journey through your own body, 6 million years and 300 000 generations of our family, from a tree dwelling ape in the forests of Africa, to you and the six billion other humans on Earth today.

In the fascinating first episode “Bones”, Dr Alice looks at how our skeleton reveals our incredible evolutionary journey.  The following episodes are called “Guts” and “Brains”
