Masai Tribe Portraits

These incredible black and white Masai tribe portrays were taken by french photographer Patrick Galibert. Each one of the 17 portraits tells a story of the person, from the clothes and jewellery he or she wears to the tools/weapons the holds.

The Masai people are a semi-nomadic group who live in Southern Kenya and Northern Tanzania along the Great Rift Valley, which of the majority live in Kenya. They are among the best known of African ethnic groups, due to their residence near the many game parks of East Africa, and their distinctive customs and dress.
